Privacy Policy

Established: October 17, 2026. Last revised: October 18, 2026. This is a courtesy translation; if it differs from the Japanese version, the Japanese version prevails.

The operator of "Board Games" (Go, Othello, Shogi; "the App") handles information as follows.

1. Information we collect

The App has no registration or login. The operator does not collect names, e-mail addresses, phone numbers, or any information that identifies you.

2. What is stored on your device

These are stored only in your browser and are never sent to the operator's server. Clearing the site data in your browser deletes them. The computer opponent runs entirely on your device; your games are not sent anywhere.

3. Hosting access logs

The App is served by Google Firebase Hosting. Google may process access logs (IP address, browser type, time, etc.). The operator does not use them to identify individuals.

3-2. Visit counts

To understand usage, the App records, per day, the number of times it was opened and the number of games started, as plain counts that identify no one. Only the date and an "add 1" instruction are sent; no IP address is stored by the operator, and no cookies, device storage or device identifiers are used. (Logs that Google processes as the hosting provider are described in section 3.) Nothing is counted when your browser's "Do Not Track" setting is on.

4. Advertising

No ads are shown at present. In the future the App may show ads (e.g., Google AdSense) to cover running costs. If so:

5. Children

Children under 13 should use the App with a parent or guardian. The App does not collect personal information from children.

6. Third parties

Because the operator collects no personal information, none is provided to third parties, except where required by law.

7. Changes

This policy may change. Changes will be announced on this page with the date.

8. Operator and contact

The operator's name and address are not published here. They will be disclosed without delay upon a request based on law. A contact point is being prepared.
